Finance Director Resume
A company financial director is often an integral member of the senior leadership team (sometimes on the executive board) and is responsible for leading the financial management of a business entity, whether an entire company, group of companies, international operating company, strategic business unit or large public sector organisation. The scope of responsibility very much depends on the nature, scope and scale of an organisation, its structure and whether FD’s report directly into a C-Level Board Executive. This is something we look at because it has a direct influence on decision-making, accountability and wider involvement in the business (corporate structure). Company Finance Leadership: Core Competencies
We expect financial leaders to ‘own’ the financial agenda by providing leadership on strategy, managing top-level performance, executive reporting (dashboards), effective controls (P&L; audit compliance; risk management), decision-making support (KPI metrics; ERP systems), statutory / audit requirements, capital investments, turnaround / cost reduction plans, relationships with banks / investors and senior stakeholder engagement. There is also an element of team leadership with finance manager reports responsible for financial operations, defining roles and responsibilities, implementing projects and driving continuous improvements. These are just some of the areas we consider as part of tips writing a finance director CV and finance director requirements.
